Looking Back at 2025 (so far!)
At the Saint Kateri National Shrine, our goal is to care for and serve all members of our community, as Saint Kateri did in her lifetime. We seek to honor Saint Kateri's faith, culture, and example in our work here.

Our year to date...
So far in 2025, we have:
-made the grounds of Saint Kateri's home available for contemplation and prayer daily from sunrise to sunset

-held Masses every weekend May through October

-honored Saint Kateri's faith through offering Native Masses during her feast day weekend and Indigenous Peoples Weekend, as well as through our Lenten reflection, Mass of Remembrance, Corpus Christi service, and Catholic book discussions

-honored Saint Kateri's culture with our Three Sisters Festival, Orange Shirt Day prayer service, Dr. Damian Costello's presentation during feast day weekend, and our NYS Path Through History presentations during Indigenous Peoples Weekend, as well as supporting the work of Kanatsiohareke Mohawk Community

-celebrated our Franciscan roots with Blessing of the Animals and with Fr. Paul Lininger's presentation during our annual Secular Franciscan pilgrimage.
**Don't miss this Saturday's Franciscan Advent celebration, Candles & Carols!**

-brought together friends from different belief systems during World Peace and Prayer Day and hosting the Glen-Mohawk ecumenical Easter sunrise service

-honored Saint Kateri's role as patron of ecology through our cooperation with New York Flora Association, our Jubilee Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation, and our afternoon of reflection, "Earth: Our Common Home"

-supported our community with our suicide prevention panel discussion and our presentation on mental health

-commemorated the multi-layered history of this site with the Liberty Pole reenactment and our new museum exhibit, "Confederacy, Revolution & Statehood in the Mohawk Valley"
